Bradley J. Smith was recently elected secretary/treasurer of American Chemet Corp. by the board of directors. He was also appointed director of finance and administration, and is now responsible for the company's financial, accounting, administrative and human relations functions. A certified public accountant, Smith joined the firm in 1984 as an accountant, with subsequent promotions to senior accountant and controller. Prior to joining American Chemet, Smith spent five years on active duty in the U.S. Navy before earning a bachelor's degree in accounting from Montana State University.
Steve Netschert of the Landmark Company recently earned his broker license in real estate. Netschert has also been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist Designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, a non-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. Netschert earned the designation by completing advanced courses and demonstrating professional expertise in the field of residential real estate.

The Interagency Committee for Change by Women is accepting nominations for the 2007 Excellence in Leadership Award to recognize exemplary leaders in Montana. The statewide award honors three individuals for exemplary leadership and achievements or for outstanding efforts to help women excel in the workplace. Awards are presented in three categories: A person in State Government; A Person in the Public Sector; and A Person in the Private Sector.
